Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do I need to have a registered company to join?
No. You can join as an individual or a team with just an idea. If you already have a registered startup (less than a year), that’s great — but it’s not required.

Can I join if I already have funding or traction?
Yes. The program is designed for early-stage founders, but startups with some traction are also welcome, as long as they are still refining their model and product.

Do I need a team to apply?
You can apply as a solo founder or with a team (maximum 2 participants per startup for the bootcamp).

Is there a fee to participate in the program?
No, applicants do not need to pay until they have qualified to be part of the cohort in which they need to pay a deposit of RM200 as a token of commitment to the program. The organiser will refund the full amount to the participants after the completion of the program - within 2 weeks of completion of bootcamp.

What expenses are covered?
The program itself is fully sponsored — workshops, materials and F&B (lunch) are free. However, travel and accommodation costs to attend the bootcamp or Grand Finale are the participants’ responsibility

Can I join more than one state bootcamp?
No. Each startup or founder can only join one state bootcamp to keep the competition fair.

Is the program conducted online or does it require physical attendance?
All sessions will be conducted in person, with participants required to attend the full 3-day program on site. The top two startups from each state will advance to the Grand Finale in Kuala Lumpur, December 2025.

How many people can attend per startup?
Each startup may send a maximum of 2 representatives to participate in the program.

What if I am unable to attend all 3 days?
Full attendance is mandatory. Startups or founders missing significant portions of the program will not be eligible for the pitching session on day 3 or advancement to the Grand Finale. The token of commitment of RM200 will not be refunded.

Is the bootcamp open to international participants?
The program is primarily for Malaysian founders and entrepreneurs, but international students or residents based in Malaysia may apply.

What type of ideas/startups are you looking for?
We welcome tech-enabled and innovation-driven ideas across all sectors (e.g., fintech, healthtech, edtech, agri-tech, sustainability, consumer solutions). Pure non-scalable businesses (e.g., traditional F&B without tech/innovation) may not be a strong fit.

What happens after the bootcamp?
Finalists will continue receiving guidance and support in the lead-up to the Grand Finale, and all participants remain connected through our alumni network for future opportunities.
